Renal Economic Symposium of 2010
 
NY Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, New York Society of Nephrology and Atlantic Dialysis Management Services partner to host the Renal Economics Symposium.
 
RIDGEWOOD, NY, October 22, 2010 - On Friday, October 22th inside the Myrna L. Daniels Auditorium on the grounds of Columbia University Medical Center, more than 140 attendees were present for a "Renal Economics Symposium" co-hosted by NY Presbyterian/Columbia University, New York Society of Nephrology and Atlantic Dialysis Management Services (ADMS).  Event co-chairs were Drs. Jai Radhakrishnan of Columbia and J. Ganesh Bhat of ADMS.

The Symposium event covered topics such as the new Medicare Bundle Payment System effective in 2011, its clinical implications with respect to patient care, other renal and end stage renal disease (ESRD) treatment care options and modalities, vascular access and healthcare reform as it applies to renal and esrd care.

Attendees left the Symposium with knowledge about the new payment system as well as thinking about new approaches and best practices to continue a viable medical care practice and patient care clinic.  The cost to attend was $100 and was free of charge to fellows of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

About ATLANTIC DIALYSIS MANAGEMENT SERVICES Atlantic Dialysis Management Services, L.L.C. was established to provide new dialysis site development, day to day administration and management of dialysis services and related business development activities.  Central to ADMS'' business strategy is the long term control of these clinical services by nephrologists. 

Atlantic Dialysis affiliates will provide 250,000 chronic and acute dialysis treatments in 2010 to almost 2,500 patients in New York City and Long Island.  Each chronic dialysis center contracts with ADMS for administrative and operational support activities. ADMS recruits center staff, performs billing and collections, carries out joint purchasing, joint managed care contracting, develops common operating procedures and systems across all sites, and carries out all business development, finance, accounting and corporate functions for each site.
